Uchillki Lagoon is a natural site located in Huancaraylla, in the Víctor Fajardo province, at an altitude of 3,119 meters above sea level.
This lagoon is fed by water springs located in the upper parts of the district and is surrounded by stunning natural landscapes.
Uchillki Lagoon has a perimeter of 0.5 km and an area of 1.5 hectares, with an approximate depth of 50 meters.
It is home to fish such as trout and is surrounded by varied flora, including retama, guinda, chamana, and grasses.
Wildlife is also present, with species such as partridges, hawks, and lizards.
To access Uchillki Lagoon, here are the steps to follow:
From Ayacucho, take a combi or private vehicle to Huancapi, then continue to Huancaraylla, and finally walk for 5 minutes to reach the lagoon.
Uchillki Lagoon is open all year round, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Entry is free.
