Take the South Pan-American Highway heading south. Pass the districts of Chorrillos, Lurín and Punta Hermosa. The entrance to Playa El Silencio is at kilometer 42-43, with a well-marked turnoff. The road is completely paved. During summer weekends, it is recommended to leave before 8:00 a.m. to avoid heavy traffic and find parking easily.

From Lima, the most economical option is to take an interprovincial bus from the Mall del Sur (San Juan de Miraflores) or from the Atocongo Bridge. The company Etgusicsa, with line 8510, covers the entire South Chico route. The fare costs between 4.50 and 5 soles. Ask to get off at the El Silencio stop. From there, you can walk about five blocks to the beach or take a mototaxi for a cost of 3 to 5 soles.
Some tourism agencies in Lima offer full-day excursions to Playa El Silencio and other beaches in Punta Hermosa. These packages usually include transportation, lunch, and in some cases activities like surf lessons.
