1 To begin, could you introduce yourself and tell us about your role at Kaaro Hoteles?

My name is Silvinna Martinez, and I am the Marketing and Design Manager at Kaaro Hoteles. I am responsible for publishing content on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok, creating visual pieces and texts that showcase the essence of each of our establishments and bring travelers closer to what they can expect from a stay with us. I have been working with the brand for a relatively short time, but it has been a very enriching period accompanying its growth in Puno and Cusco.

2 How was Kaaro Hoteles born and what was the idea that gave rise to this project?

Kaaro Hoteles was born with the idea of offering travelers a quality accommodation experience in the main tourist cities of southern Peru. The project was born out of identifying the need to connect visitors with well-located hotels with reliable service, without them having to pay excessive rates. From the start, we set out to create a network of establishments where every guest feels valued and well taken care of, with the peace of mind of knowing they are getting excellent value for money. To achieve this, we work with a selection of local hotels that share our quality standards, and we offer our clients competitive rates and a close, personalized treatment.

3 What does the name "Kaaro" mean and why did you choose that name for the company?

"Kaaro" comes from something very personal: it is the initials of the owner's children. So behind the brand name there is a family story, and it is that same family warmth that we seek to convey to every guest who stays with us.

4 What is the philosophy of Kaaro Hoteles and what are the values you seek to convey to your guests?

Our philosophy is based on offering the best available rate, backed by exclusive discounts, without sacrificing service quality. We want every guest to feel at home, with warm and personalized attention.

5 You currently have three establishments, two in Puno and one in Cusco. Could you briefly introduce each one?

We have three strategically located 3-star hotels:

🏨 Kaaro Hotel Puno: Located at 271 Ilave Street, just minutes from Puno's Plaza de Armas and the Cathedral. It offers 12 rooms with private bathroom, cable TV, 24-hour hot water, and a full buffet breakfast. Ideal for those seeking comfort at an affordable price.

🏨 Kaaro Hotel Suites Puno (also known as Kaaro Hotel El Buho): Located at 143 Jirón Lambayeque, very close to Parque Pino and just steps from the Plaza de Armas. It has 33 rooms, some with air conditioning, buffet breakfast included, and a pleasant garden.

🏨 Kaaro House Cusco: Located at 284 Calle Siete Cuartones, just a 5-minute walk from Cusco's Plaza de Armas. It is a cozy hotel with 19 rooms, buffet breakfast included, and a family atmosphere.

15 Does your team help travelers with tourist information or organizing excursions?

Yes, we offer assistance in booking local excursions, including tours to Lake Titicaca and its islands, directly from the reception. We also provide personalized recommendations on what to visit and how to organize your time.

16 Do you offer transfers from or to the airport?

Yes, we offer airport transfer service upon request. We recommend contacting us in advance to check availability and rates.

21 If you had to recommend a must-see place in Puno and another in Cusco, what would they be?

In Puno, the must-see place is Lake Titicaca and its floating islands of the Uros. It is a unique experience in the world that allows you to discover the ancestral culture of the lake peoples. Excursions can be easily booked from our hotels.

In Cusco, the Plaza de Armas and its surroundings are the heart of the city. From there you can access the Cathedral, the Church of the Company, and streets full of history. It is also the ideal starting point to explore the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu.

22 What advice would you give to those visiting Puno and Cusco for the first time?

For Puno:
✅ We recommend 2 nights minimum to enjoy the lake and the city
✅ Bring warm clothes because the nights are cold
✅ Drink coca infusions to adapt to the altitude (3,820 m)
✅ Don't miss the buffet breakfast at our hotels to start with energy

For Cusco:
✅ We recommend at least 3-4 nights to acclimatize and explore
✅ Walk slowly the first few days due to the altitude (3,400 m)
✅ Visit San Pedro Market to experience the local culture

23 What are the main projects or new developments that Kaaro Hoteles has planned for the coming years? Would you like to expand the chain to other regions of Peru?

We are evaluating strengthening the experience at our three current establishments, improving services and further training our team. In the medium term, we do not rule out exploring new tourist cities in southern Peru, as long as we can maintain the same standard of quality and personalized attention that characterizes us. Our growth will always be thought of in terms of the guest experience, not just the number of hotels.
