Located in the Curahuasi district, at an altitude of 1,780 meters, the Cconoc hot springs offer an exceptional natural setting for relaxation. On the banks of the majestic Apurímac River, this place is a true haven of peace, surrounded by carob trees and cacti, far from the hustle and bustle of the cities.

The name "Cconoc" comes from the Quechua word meaning "hot". The water, at a temperature of around 50°C, is rich in minerals (chloride, sodium, sulfate, calcium). It is renowned for its health benefits, particularly for relieving muscle pain, arthritis, and rheumatism.

The Cconoc hot springs are an ideal stop on the main road connecting Cusco to Abancay.

Journey from Cusco

The journey takes approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes by bus or private car (about 120 km).

Journey from Abancay

The journey is shorter, approximately 88 km for a duration of about 2 hours and 50 minutes by bus.

Public or private transport?

If you are going by public transport from Cusco, it is recommended to take a bus to Curahuasi, then find local transport for the last 7 kilometers. The most practical option remains private transport for the round trip.

Access to the site is subject to a fee, with very affordable rates:

  • Adults: S/. 8.00 (nationals and foreigners)
  • Children: S/. 5.00

On site, you will find basic but functional tourist infrastructure, with several pools and camping areas. Restaurants and modest accommodation are also available.
