Interview with La Casita de Ricardo

Located in **San Miguel**, **La Casita de Ricardo** is a vibrant tribute to Andean culture. It offers an escape from the hustle and bustle of Lima, immersing guests in a true corner of the **Peruvian highlands**. Learn more about their specialty, the **Pachamanca**, in this exclusive interview.

1. What are your signature dishes or products?

Our star dishes are the **chicken and pork Pachamanca** and the **Patasca**. The word Pachamanca comes from the Quechua words Pacha (earth) and Manca (pot). It literally means "earth pot" or "pot in the earth." It's a ritual and communal dish, an expression of gratitude to the Pachamama (Mother Earth) for her gifts.

2. Where do you source your products? Do you work with local producers?

All our products are sourced from local producers or brought directly from the country's interior, which allows us to maintain the freshness and quality of our dishes. We also use rare Andean herbs, which we process by hand to preserve their full aromas and essences.

3. What unique experience do you offer your customers?

The unique experience we offer lies in our restaurant's atmosphere and decor. The place feels as though you are in another part of Peru, especially in the heart of the Peruvian highlands.

4. What are you most proud of?

Our **Pachamanca** is undoubtedly our greatest pride. It is made daily by hand with fresh, high-quality ingredients.

5. Do we need a reservation to visit you?

We do not accept reservations. We recommend visiting between **11:30 AM and 1:30 PM** to avoid peak hours.

6. What advice would you give a tourist trying Peruvian food for the first time?

We advise visitors to try all of Peruvian gastronomy. Most of our dishes are prepared daily with local ingredients that contain fewer chemicals or hormones compared to those in other countries.

7. How can we follow your news?

You can follow us on Instagram and TikTok with the username: **@pachamancas.lcr**.
